BEHLMAN (Hauppauge, NY) has introduced the compact UPS1100, dual conversion, on-line UPS for use on board Naval ships. This rugged, short chassis (12.0"D), delivers 1100 VA (750 Watts) of clean, regulated AC power in a single19 inch rack mount chassis that is only (3U), 5.25 inches high, with internal batteries.

Using the COTS technology of Behlman's PUPS series UPS's, a modified/custom solution was engineered to meet the challenging shipboard requirements. The UPS supplies 30 minutes of back up for varying loads of 245 watts to 750 watts. This was accomplished with the internal batteries for the 245 watt requirement and the addition of either a (1U) 1.75"H or (2U) 3.0"H external battery chassis for the higher power loads. The UPS's small size, along with rapid recharge times and challenging requirements for shock, vibration and environmental conditions make this an ideal UPS for Military applications.

The UPS1100 is a true on-line UPS with all the feature you have come to expect from Behlman; PFC input, protection from sags, surges, frequency changes high/low voltage, lightning and blackouts, a smart charger, extensive battery and power management software with complete intuitive front panel controls and display and RS232 remote control capability. Other models available from 650 VA to 1500 VA with options that include dual inputs, removable batteries and frequency conversion capability in either a horizontal, tower or rack mount enclosure.
